My Master Bathroom Tour

Master Bathroom

My master bathroom has two sinks which is great so that my husband and I can brush our teeth at the same time.  The only problem is, we have no counter space.  And we lack a linen closet for our master bathroom.  This forced me to get creative with our space under our sink area.  It took lots of time and organization to figure out how to make it work-able and make everything fit.

I also bought a hook to put by the shower for towels so the floor doesn’t get wet.  And the toilet paper holder is wonderful to keep one more thing out of the cabinets.  I decided to go with dark brown in all of the bathrooms to match the marble sink/counter areas and the dark wood cabinets.

We also have a standing shower which is great-there is even a little seat inside of it.  I was able to buy a storage container for all of the shower soaps and hair products.  This helps keep us organized.  And the shower curtain is awesome with a built-in line and the curtain snaps right onto the shower rod-no hooks required!

Master Bedroom

We just ordered a full bedroom set from Overstock.  The entire set with headboard, footboard, 2 nightstands, chest of drawers, dresser, and mirror cost $1,900.  And we spent $50 to have the set delivered upstairs to the bedroom because it was so heavy.  I used my coupons to buy a comforter/sham set from Bed, Bath, and Beyond that came out to be about $115.  I also bought a new vanity and jewelry armoire to match the new beset from Bed, Bath, and Beyond.  The jewelry armoire came to $100 with the coupon and the vanity with bench came to $150 with the coupon.

Now, we are just waiting for the Memorial Day sale at mattress stores to get our mattress and box spring.  So, we are still sleeping in our guest room/old master bedroom.

Guest Bathroom

The guest bathroom in the hallway is a full bathroom with a tub.  It has the same shower curtain and rugs that they my husband had in Dallas, Texas.  It was our master bedroom set in Baltimore and our guest bedroom set in Rhode Island.  This is still our guest bedroom set.

I bought a new tissue box at Bed, Bath, and Beyond that was on clearance.  I also have the drawers and cabinets packed with all of our hotel soaps, lotions, shampoos, and conditioners.  I even have extra face wash and shaving kits for our guests!

Laundry Room

My laundry room is on the same level as the bedrooms-I love this!  I love that I don’t have to run up and down stairs.  Growing up, our laundry room was in the basement and I remember my parents running up and down all day and night for laundry.  It is truly a luxury to have it on the same level as the bedrooms.

The only thing that I have to go up and down for is the kitchen towels.  Luckily, the bathroom towels, and clothes are all upstairs.  So it makes folding and putting clothes away very easy.  The best part of the

Guest Room/Living Room?

This guest room is the smallest and closest to the master.  I put the two guest bedrooms on either side of the guest bathroom so it is accessible.  We used our old living room set as a hang out/spare living room area upstairs.  We put the couch in it with our tv, tv stand, and coffee table.

We even put some games in the room.  So I guess it also also a game room?  Our games are mostly just like cards, Monopoly, and Clue.  Maybe one day, we will have more exciting games, but that is our collection for now.

I also keep my magazine rack and magazines in the living room area.  This was our main room when we moved in.  This was our only relaxing area and couch in our house for a while when we first moved in.  We haven’t hung out in there much recently.  But when our parents visited, they would sometimes watch tv in there and relax before bed.
